Load tivimate.com on the TV
Open tivimate.com in the TV browser and scroll below the first screen for the download buttons. Google Play takes you straight to the listing.
Box with no Play Store? Plenty of Android TV hardware ships that way. The same page offers an Install APK link — grab that and open the file once it lands.

Press Install
Google Play lands on TiviMate. Press Install and let it finish.

Start TiviMate, take Add playlist
Launch it and pick Add playlist from the first screen.

Set the type to Xtream Codes
Xtream Codes, not M3U.

Key in your credentials
Server URL, username and password, straight from your activation email. Case matters on all three.

You are live
TiviMate populates channels, films and series. Hit play on anything to confirm the feed.

Installing TiviMate on Android TV: what is different
Android TV and Google TV boxes install TiviMate from the Google Play Store on the device — not from your phone's Play Store.
If TiviMate is not on Play for your box, Android TV does allow sideloading: install a downloader app, then enable install-from-unknown-sources for it in Settings.
Most Android TV remotes have no pointer. TiviMate is far easier to drive if it supports D-pad navigation, which is why it is recommended here.
