Look up Smarters Player Lite in the App Store
On the Apple TV open the App Store, go to Search and type Smarters Player Lite. Watching with it costs nothing.

Install, then launch the app
Press Get, let it finish, then start Smarters Player Lite.

Pick Login with Xtream Codes API
Two sign-in routes are offered on the opening screen. Xtream Codes API is the one you want, not M3U.
If your copy drops straight onto a playlist screen, pick M3U URL instead and paste the M3U link from that same email — same outcome.

Key in your credentials
Server URL, username and password, straight from your activation email. Case matters on all three.

You are live
Channels, films and series populate. Hit play on anything to confirm the feed.

Installing Smarters Player Lite on Apple TV: what is different
Apple TV runs tvOS. Open the App Store from the Home screen and search for Smarters Player Lite using the Siri Remote.
tvOS allows no sideloading at all, so Smarters Player Lite must be published on the tvOS App Store — the iPhone version being available does not mean the TV version is.
Hold the TV button to return to the Home screen if Smarters Player Lite stops responding, rather than unplugging the box.
